Common Problems We Solve

Is Your Home Trying to Tell You Something?

We’ve spent over 10 years in attics across the Fargo-Moorhead area — old homes, hard winters, and every problem that comes with both. Chances are we’ve seen exactly what’s happening in yours and our attic inspection will find the root cause.

Water Stains, Drips, or Mold

You’ve noticed staining on your ceiling, dripping from overhead, or a musty smell upstairs. Moisture damage that starts small compounds fast if ignored.

Ice Dams or Cool Rooms

Thick icicles hang over your eaves. Your furnace or AC runs constantly but your home never feels quite right. Your energy bills continue to climb.

Pest Infestation

You’ve heard scratching, found droppings, or spotted nesting material. Pest contamination in insulation is a health hazard – not just a nuisance.

Most attic problems aren’t solved by simply adding more insulation. They usually involve a combination of air leakage, ventilation issues, and insulation that’s no longer performing the way it should.

We Handle the Dirty Work

When Removal Is Necessary

You can’t fix a contaminated attic by covering it up. Whether it’s rodent contamination, mold, moisture, or improper air and vapor barriers, proper removal and remediation is the only way to actually solve the problem — not just delay it. We handle all of it, start to finish.

Here’s when removal isn’t optional:

⚠️ Health Hazard: Bat and rodent excrements carry bacteria and airborne pathogens – and mold spores are just as dangerous. Every time your HVAC runs, it can pull contaminated air from your attic through your home.

What We Do

How We Fix Your Attic

A full-system approach designed to fix attic issues the right way. Every attic is different — we assess what’s there, correct what’s wrong, and build the right system for your specific space.

Here’s what that typically looks like:

1

Free Attic Inspection

We assess insulation, ventilation, air leaks, moisture issues, and overall attic conditions to understand exactly what your home needs.
2

Remove Old Insulation

We clear out and dispose of contaminated, damaged or ineffective insulation so we can expose issues underneath and fix them at the source.
3

Install Ventilation

We install chutes to restore proper airflow so your attic can perform the way it should, preventing the conditions that lead to moisture buildup and ice dams.
4

Seal Air & Vapor Leaks

We address gaps, penetrations, and weak points (often with spray foam) to help control air movement, moisture, and temperature imbalance at the source.
5

Install the Right Insulation

We install the right insulation system for your attic configuration (spray foam or blown-in insulation) designed for long-term performance.

6

A More Comfortable Home

When the job is done right and built to last, you get better comfort, improved efficiency, and peace of mind knowing the problem was fixed at the source.

Common Questions

We do a complete assessment of your attic — insulation condition and R-value, air and vapor barriers, ventilation, and any signs of moisture damage, mold, or animal intrusion. You’ll get an honest report of what we found with our recommendations.

Nope! Our free inspection is a thorough diagnostic that gives you real answers with no obligations. When you decide to move forward with our services, you won’t be billed until the project is complete.

Most projects are completed in one to two days depending on the size and complexity of the attic. We’ll give you a clear timeline before we start.

Not necessarily. Insulation doesn’t degrade from age alone. The real question is whether you have enough, the right type, if it’s experienced any moisture damage, and whether your ventilation is working. That’s what our inspection will answer.

We handle that too. We’ll recommend the right solution based on our findings during your free attic inspection.

A spray foamed roof deck is an unvented roof assembly where insulation is applied directly to the underside of the roof deck — typically with closed-cell spray foam — rather than on the attic floor. This brings the attic space inside the home’s thermal envelope, eliminating the need for soffit-to-ridge ventilation entirely.

It’s the right call in a few specific situations: homes with cathedral or vaulted ceilings where there’s no attic cavity to ventilate, tight roof geometries where proper ventilation is difficult or impossible to achieve, and builds where the mechanical systems (HVAC, ductwork) are located in the attic.

Let’s Get Started

Ready For a More Energy Efficient, Healthier Home?

Energy loss doesn’t stop when the season changes. Neither do moisture or mold problems. The longer a failing attic goes unaddressed, the more it costs — in utility bills, in damage, and eventually in repairs.

If something feels off in your home, the best time to get answers is now — before it gets worse.
